Some of what happened to you is exactly what happened to me. I was the one who "should have had an affair." My husband states that he is emotionally frozen, but he certainly found a way to express his emotions to someone who was 20 years younger. Then he blamed me. I believe his actions are due to his narcissistic personality disorder, which he will never acknowledge. He said things to me like, "I would do it again if we drift apart, her husband is mean to her, she doesn't know what to do, I wonder why she picked me." He lied to the numerous counselors from whom we sought help. I have nearly lost my mind.
