Our Harboring Hope small group was discussing the types of affairs outlined in lesson 3. It seems the use of porn in secrecy typically escalates in some way- not necessarily by begetting raunchier material but in acting out behavior with an affair partner for example. The porn and masturbation was used to cope with boredom or stress instead of finding a healthy coping mechanism. Could this method of coping and the escalation not indicate a sexual addiction even though the person only used porn casually?
