Question:

During my husband’s multiple affairs, one of his affair partners had a tattoo gun and she tattooed our boy’s names on his biceps. The tattoos go from his shoulder to his elbows and there is no missing them. I feel pain, rage, and discuss every time I see them!!! My husband said he is going to get them covered or removed. He and the boys came up with their own design that they made to cover up these tattoos. While the boys find it exciting to be able to be part of such a big decision of what dad gets to have permanently on his arms, I can’t help to always think why they are there. I feel like it was a personal punch in the face from the affair partner to me. The affair partner and I did not get along for obvious reasons. I try not to place all the blame on her because after all my husband gave her that power! How do I take my power back from something like this? How do I get over the constant reminder and trigger of why any tattoo would be there in the first place?
