Question:

They text and hang out but I just don’t like the idea of their friendship because it takes away from our relationship and negatively affects me. I feel the urge to compete for my husband’s attention when she is around. She continues to ask my husband to rescue her when she is in crisis. He wants to help because he feels for her children. He says she is safe because he has no attraction and has said the friendship will never be sexual. Since I’ve expressed this bothers me, the texts have greatly decreased and so have their time together. My husband has told her that I don’t like it when she texts him in crisis and says to text me, which she has done. But I just wish she would go away. I trust my husband, but I don’t trust her. We are 18 months from D-Day and reconciled.
