Question:

I’m 2.5 years in from D-Day 1, a long term emotional and sexual affair, and 4 months from D-Day 2, another emotional affair. My husband tells me contact with both has ended. The first affair partner told me about the affair via my work email, I assume by searching on the internet. During the initial months I gathered lots of information about the affair partner’s and their family. I was worried they would contact other people like my children. I still find myself checking in on the 1st affair partner via Facebook or Twitter. I’m not sure why I do it. I know intellectually that it must be hurting me and keeping me in the past. I’d appreciate your views on this behavior and perhaps, whether it’s best to find a way to stop.
