I have read your article, The 6 Types of Affairs. My husband doesn’t seem to fit any of these. His affair was short, a few weeks. He ended it by confessing it to me out of the blue, which he says is because he wanted it to end and he couldn’t continue doing it. His behavior wasn’t compulsive like with a sex addict and he wasn’t trying to leave our marriage. I’m just trying to wrap my head around all of the information I’m getting and what happened. Are these just general guidelines? Are there other types? What would you say to a betrayed trying to wrap their head around this when nothing fits?
