Question:

My spouse left 1 year ago. We've been married 10 years and there is a history of infidelity since year two with me and in his first marriage. There have been no attempts to seek counseling, reconcile, take responsibility, agree to accountable, etc. I'm on the forgiveness chapter of Harboring Hope and my husband won't discuss us or our 13 year old. His behavior is very narcissistic. I've resulted to communication via email only due to abusive language and inevitable arguments. How do you take the journey of forgiveness with such an individual? I really want to get my joy back, focus on my many blessings. It seems his aim and mission is to play games mentally and keep me stuck because we are forever linked by this child. We have another son who is a college student. I am filing for divorce in a week. Certainly, this is not the life God wants for me.
