Question:

My husband has been unfaithful to me. However, before we got married, before we met, I had pre-marital sex. My husband did barely anything and he is 4-5 years younger than me. I was reading a sermon today about accountability to your spouse for pre-marital sex with others. It got me thinking, technically, my husband has just "evened up the score". In the very, very big picture, we were both unfaithful to each other. It is just that there is a huge time lapse between the two. Mine was before we got married (before I knew him) and his was after we got married, many years later (we have been married 19 years now). So theoretically we are both unfaithful. Shouldn't I be taking the Hope for Healing course if I am the one who begun this pattern? He was far more Christian than me when we met and because of my past, he was forced to follow in a weird way. God says 'we reap what we sow'. Do you understand my question?
