Question:

My husband and I had just finished the EMS Online program when I find out that he had relapsed. He’s gotten together with the same affair partner more than a month ago and I had kicked him out as soon as I found out. We have now separated and I am at peace with this decision because he is not healthy and is not safe. We have so many things planned for the remainder of the year however, one of them being a trip to the US, we are from Asia, to attend a weekend intensive couple’s marriage retreat with a Gottman-trained therapist. We have booked the tickets and everything. Would you recommend I try to convince him to push through with a “last ditch effort” type of program instead that’s being offered by the same group Couple’s Therapy Inc? At this point there is clearly ambivalence and to an extent limerence on his part. We are on speaking terms for the sake of the kids and for sorting out the practical and housekeeping stuff.
