Question:

My husband and I have been together for 14 years, married for 5. I am writing as the betrayed spouse. His affair lasted approximately 6 months. They fell in love, had sex over 60 times, and even brought the children into the mix to see if they could blend the families in front of me. My spouse has proven to be an incredible liar. There are very few tells when he lies. He has been going to SAA meeting 1-2 times a week since September, but just recently found a sponsor and has not started to work The Steps. We just finished week 11 of EMS Online and I found out that on ground zero day he continued to lie, knowingly, convincing me there's was nothing more when he knew there was. That's the 8th D-Day. I don't know how to rebuild trust when I don't trust he will be honest moving forward. How can someone who has become such an accomplished liar prove to the betrayed spouse that they can be trusted?
