Question:

My husband's affair partner was a rekindled lost love/best friend/significant person from his past. I believe that he accepts that the affair is over, but doesn't accept that he has talked to her for the last time. He genuinely cares for the happiness of his affair partner and misses her friendship a great deal. He is choosing me and choosing us, but is suffering a great deal. What is healthy for us at this point? How does he grieve? How do I support this grieving process? How do I respond if it becomes too much (as it nearly did a few days ago) and he reaches out to her?
