Question:

Our 14 yr old daughter just found out about her mother’s affair. How do we confront this? It has been 15 months since DDay. We have been to EMS weekend, she has done H4H, and we both have private counseling together. It has all worked to aid in our recovery. We already have a better marriage than ever before. We are much wiser now. Nothing will ever stand in our way again to harm our marriage. Now this, our sweet little girl has found out. We have to talk to her but what do we say? Here are my thoughts. Give her no details at all. Just explain how marriage is the devils playground and unfortunately he romped and stomped all over our marriage. But it will never happen again, because Jesus has control now and we love each other more now than ever before. If she starts asking questions we will tell her not now, maybe one day after she is married. The main thing for her to know right now at age 14 is that we both made mistakes but it is fixed now, and that marriage is a continual problem solving relationship. What do you think? Have I answered my own question?
