My husband had a four and a half year affair. He says that he never stopped loving me during that time, even though he told the affair partner that he loved her and even wanted to marry her. He broke off the affair when I found out. He says he doesn't love the affair partner and that he loves me. Is it possible to love your spouse and have a good marriage (which we did) and have a long term affair? It doesn't make sense to me. How can that be possible?
