Question:

It has been well over a year since my husband's infidelity. I have since given birth and am still taking care of our almost 3 year old with split custody with my husband. He is still in the relationship with his girlfriend, who has yet to file for divorce from her husband and also has two children. His family has since turned on me and he has nothing but horrible things to say to me, vilifying me at every step. What kills me is that I still care about him and he wants nothing but my total destruction.

Any clue when this nightmare will end?!?!

Nightmare

I think your husband is quite immature and the only thing you can do at this time is try and recover from what harm he has done to you and move on. He will inevitably find out some where down the line that the grass wasn't any greener... Also.. That other wife is no doubt playing with your husband and has no intention of divorcing her husband.. If she hasn't made a move yet, she won't. I believe there are some people who get enjoyment from breaking up relationships just for the reward it gives them. Afterwards.. he will feel the fool that he made himself look like to the rest of his world during this time. Good luck!
