Question:

We are 7 months into our road to recovery. My husband is committed to me, our marriage, and is taking steps to heal. I continue to struggle with PTSD, flashbacks, and intrusive thoughts. I believe one of the main reasons I am suffering in such a way is because my husband’s affair partner still works with him and lives in our community. They are educators teaching the same course. Movement with his job is not possible right now. Our family finances rely on his income. Remote teaching has been helpful but email communication between the two of them, although limited, has to happen. We have boundaries in place and I have access to his email, but I still struggle with her presence in our life. How am I supposed to heal and improve knowing this may be our reality for the next couple of years until movement within the district can happen?
