My wife had a sexual and emotional affair lasting 6 months. She said she never felt such a strong emotional connection with someone before including me. She said they just get each other. I know this must be limerence but what I struggle with is in one of your videos about comparisons with the affair partner sexually you said the sex typically isn’t this great emotionally connected experience. If my wife said she never felt so emotionally connected to someone before including me it’s hard for me not to think their sex was amazing, in love, connected sex. I know prior to the affair we were not that emotionally connected and had drifted apart. This hurts because I want to think the sex was awkward and not good sex and that she felt better more comfortable with me. Does this feeling make sense? How could she feel so emotionally connected and not think the sex was better with him than with me? I feel emasculated and hurt.
