Question:

It’s going on my 5 months since D-Day, and almost 2 years since this affair. My wife barely confessed 5 months ago. The affair partner was a politician almost 25 years older than her. I believe manipulated her and took advantage of her postpartum depression. She tells me he would ask her if she wanted money and told her he was going to buy her jewelry. He just kept coming into her work showering her with compliments and saying, “Your husband doesn’t let you have friends”, until she finally gave in and began to meet him outside of work. She never took any of the gifts but I know his offers petted her ego and low self-esteem. Myself, an ex kickboxer and MMA fighter, is so angry with her it led me to my own revenge affair. I met a girl 2 times and had sexual encounters with her but then stopped it. This was one week into me and my wife’s planned 2 month separation and immediately I confessed and asked her to move back in. I was disgusted, cheating and couldn’t bare it. I feel I payed back my wife but my actions these last 5 months but I feel I can’t let this man get away with it. He’s in his late 40s my wife mid 20s and me I just turned 31.
