Question:

My husband and I are 18 months past D-Day. Since that time, we’ve had some good periods of time when I would feel good about our progress post the disclosure of his 3-year affair with one affair partner. However, my husband recently started texting with his affair partner again. She sends him nude photos on a daily basis. He responds with favorable comments so she keeps stimulating him with more photos. My husband and I have gone through EMS Weekend and he’s seeing his own counselor. We stopped going to couples counseling because he says he is not ready to give up stuff with his affair partner. The counselor said that he cannot do marriage counseling for us while there are still 3 people in the marriage. The affair partner lives 1200 miles away so they are not physically together anymore but I think my husband is addicted to these raunchy photos she sends him. Is there any hope for us? Is it time for me to find my own counselor and begin to exit this relationship?
