Question:

My husband had an emotional and physical affair with a coworker for 20 years. He says he has no residual feelings toward her and is resentful because of what I am going through after she revealed their affair to me. They still work together and he avoids contact other than for professional issues. He says it has helped that he has compartmentalized the situation with her. Is this a safe way of dealing with problem since he used this mechanism to carry on with the affair all this time?
