Question:

We have done EMSO, he is in counseling, goes to a 12 step program, and has a sponsor. However, he continues to use and lie when I ask him straight out. I have hung on for 15 years of this and since he returned home from moving out after his 2 year affair. He went out of town this week on business. I asked that he not hang out with his female coworker. She is constantly asking to hang out with married men after hours is cause for concern for me. He chose to go out to dinner with her and several other coworkers. While he says it was completely professional, I believe it is a danger that is unnecessary. He says he can't avoid females forever. I think it shows a lack of respect for me. I have been diagnosed with complex PTSD and my counselor says I can't keep going back into what is causing my damage. I will be losing my identity as a military spouse, my ability to homeschool, etc. I do not wish to carry this damage with me forward into my next stage of life. I was so hopeful, now I just feel stupid and want out.
