Question:

I'm hoping you can help with a problem we are having with sexual intimacy. My husband's affair left me feeling very insecure, unwanted, etc. Especially because I always wanted to have more sex in our marriage, and he always made excuses, like he was too tired. So, knowing that he chose to have sex with another woman instead of me is very painful. I've told him that it would help me recover and feel less insecure if he initiated sexual intimacy with me, but I am still always the one that does this. He tells me this is because our relationship is so fragile, and I am usually sad or upset, so that makes it difficult for him to get "in the mood" or want to initiate. I'm doing the best I can to try and regulate my emotions, and make sure we still have "good" days together, but this is all making me feel rejected and hurt.
