Question:

Setting boundaries to address sensitive problematic areas is good to keep us on a set path. However, it’s difficult to set consequences that aren’t harsh. One of us can’t seem to stick to any boundaries and is constantly crossing them unless it involves a harsh consequence. It seems anything else is like a slap on the wrist and so the crossing of boundaries just reoccurs with false promises of trying harder next time. How can we set boundaries if they keep being disregarded and violated?
