Question:

My wife and I on the journey of healing and we have ups and downs. Two years ago, I disclosed I had been unfaithful several times while on the road with random women. One thing that comes up every day is my wife feeling she wasn’t enough and that these women were too attractive to avoid etc.. I make sure she knows it had nothing to do with her. I let her know how sick I was but it hurts her deeply. These thoughts are always close by, I always try to be empathetic, I try not to get sucked into the shame, and these hurt feelings always take a difficult trial to sort. Has anybody ever worked past this point?
