Question:

We are 15 months past D-day. We went through a separation and are living together again only because of health concerns for our oldest son. I have realized he is not able to listen to my hurt about the affair or speak open and honestly with me about anything. We are in our last week of EMS Online and we are in a worse situation than we were before starting the class. The class has helped me individually, but It has also shown me how much my husband does not want to communicate with me. So now here we are living together in a pretend normal family just for the sake of our kids. How do we continue to try and get along without ever speaking about the affair or any problems? Is the “parenting marriage” something that can really work?
