Question:

Despite almost 2 years of combing over what happened, I feel no closer to understanding how someone could have a problem in their marriage and not try to find a way to deal with it that takes into that they have promised lifetime fidelity and that they have children who need protecting. It still just seems awful and incomprehensible to me. Should I just give up trying to understand it?
