Question

My spouse tells me she feels unwanted if she has to tell me her needs because she feels that I am not trying to meet them simply because I want to, even though I cannot read her mind, and I am only doing it after her expectations are voiced as an obligation. I have tried to explain that voicing our needs and expectations is a healthy communication in a rel ationship and that I have the choice to either seek to meet them because I care, or do nothing, but need to clearly know what they are. How can we better handle this?
