Question:

My husband and I are 7 months from D-Day. He was absolutely broken hearted to have to end his affair. Knowing that has caused me so much grief and I have been broken hearted for us. I struggle everyday wondering if he would rather be with her. I was wondering if it would be helpful for him, me, and the affair partner if he wrote her a letter asking for her forgiveness, and explaining to her that the relationship they had was not love and that he lied to her when he told her that he loved her. He thought it was true at the time, but it wasn't love, but lust. I think it would be good for me, and I'm hoping it will set her free, so she can stop pining away for him, and helpful for my husband to "lock that door" once and for all.
