Question:

I am a betrayed husband. I've noticed that as we move further out into recovery we start to really release any inhibitions for our future. We begin to talk about having another child, career or job changes, selling our house and moving far away its hard to decipher if this is us passionately pursuing God's plan or us wanting to dissociate ourselves with the past. Any advice to decision making during recovery phases? I struggle as I’ve made such huge strides as to, what to be open in sharing and what to deal with internally. It's my goal to protect my wife from further shame and guilt. At the same time I know our intimacy may be compromised if I don't discuss the struggles I still deal with. This coming especially after recognizing that I stuffed a lot of things in our past, prior, to keep peace. How do I balance this without dealing with it like I use to?
