Question:

My husband has a sexual addiction that has resulted in many infidelities and sexual acting out. Although we have a therapist that we have seen together since pre-marital counselling, we decided to seek the help of a counselor who coaches those with sexual addiction as well. The addictions counselor has decided that she is not the person to support me (as the betrayed spouse) and discontinued our individual relationship. However, she has advised my husband that he should not have two counsellors and often her opinions or guidance on our marital communication are in contrast to what our original counsellor suggests. What do you suggest?
