My wife has been on Paxil or other antidepressants most of her life. I know they didn't cause the infidelity, but may have played a role in her vulnerability and her actions since then. There has been very little emotion, empathy, or remorse. We are at 14 months post discovery. She has admitted to being emotionally dead in the past, and is currently weaning off Paxil, she was also taking a weight loss drug Plexus during her affairs. Her doctor increased her Paxil from 20mg to 40mg at the start of the main affair, fully knowing about the affair. She also was and still is using Ambien to sleep at night. I know my wife was emotionally disconnected from me, but I believe she was unable to fully experience emotions that I consider necessary in guiding us in life. We are at a better place now and both of us doing the healing courses. Thank you for your input.Sections: Rick's Q & A timeRick's QuestionsRL_Category: Q&A Recovery LibraryThe Role of EmpathyWhy They Did ItRL_Media Type: Video
