Question:

I am the betrayed. We are 15 months post D-Day. We are doing great! With the help of our renewed faith, a great counselor and of course EMS Weekend, our marriage is better than ever. I am writing because I have this “spot”. It runs deep. And while things are great and getting better everyday, when I think about the past and how I was betrayed this spot still hurts. It’s raw, it brings me right back to D-Day when it is touched. It’s hard to describe “this spot” in words. It feels deep inside, almost like it just exists in my core. It is not the same kind of wound you talk about it healing enough so we can touch it- that wound is healing and yes, I can touch that one. But this one is different. We have done so much healing already but this spot feels like it is going to take a long time to heal or go away. I hope it does. Can you speak about this? Is it normal? Will it go away?
