Question:

My husband and I are currently in EMSO. He is a sex addict who was unfaithful in the form of 5 APs throughout our 10 year relationship, 7 year marriage. Throughout our marriage my husband has struggled with being sexual with me. He says that he has always struggled with being sexual with women that he was in relationship with. So, not only am I struggling with healing from the infidelity but I also wonder how can I be in a marriage like this. Before D-Day I thought that we just had to work hard together to address our intimacy issues. I didn't know that he was rejecting me but having sex with other women. I feel very hopeless about this. Is this common? Have you seen this before in sex addicts? Is there hope? Even though he seems to be working hard at being a different person (in terms of the infidelity) I can not bear the thought of continuing in a sexless marriage.
