Question:

Rick, I am an unfaithful spouse. I know my first priority as the unfaithful is to provide safety for my wife. However, in doing so, I am feeling that she is disregarding my feelings or not allowing me to occasionally become frustrated. Any time I show any emotion, she always says I'm angry. I am concerned that I am developing bitterness toward her for this. My question is, how often does the betrayed spouse do enough damage during recovery that the unfaithful spouse becomes hopeless? And how do we prevent reaching that point?
