Question:

My husband confessed his 6 month long affair with a former coworker to me 6 months ago. I did not "catch him". Our counselor said that my husband should join an accountability group. My husband refuses because he doesn't like sharing feelings/thoughts with people. He will not even do the AR online course. Our counselor also said that we should download an app called FamilyTime on our cell phones so that I am able to see all the activity he does on his phone. My husband and his AP started their relationship talking over an app on his phone, so I mostly want to make sure the app is blocked. My husband refuses to download the app because it costs money (just $2 a month). But my husband has given me the password to his phone so that I can look at it. My issue is that if he wants to, he can delete the app that they used for talking before he comes home and then he could download it again when he wanted to talk to her. I don't know if he is doing this or not. Should I just give up on trying to make my husband join an accountability group and downloading the family app? Instead should I just trust God to reveal if something is still going on, like He did before? Or should I demand that an accountability group and the family app are non negotiable for me to stay in marriage?
