Question:

I have had ringing in my ears for as long as I can remember since the infidelity discovery. Is this common?

Ringing in the ears

I've had ringing in my ears since the 2nd DDay where I found out the affair was indeed physical not just emotional! I just assumed it was the stress of the new discovery that caused it. It comes and goes now 16 months later and I wonder if it will ever completely go away.

I have the same thing. I've been to two ENT specialists because it got so bad--literally like a choir of crickets on crack. I already had slight ringing in the ears for years, but stress exacerbates it, i.e., my husband's affair. Those little nerve endings have taken a beating. When I manage my stress it decreases noticeably. Be sure to get enough rest, as inadequate sleep will make it a lot worse.
