Question

My affair happened 20 years ago and when it was discovered, I denied it. The counselor we saw at that time advised us to forget and move on, which we did. I spent the last 20 years forgetting and when my husband brought it up again 10 months ago, I finally admitted it. The issue is I am struggling with remembering details from 20 years ago and he doesn’t believe me when I tell him this due to trickle truth at the beginning. It was a traumatic event I caused and have stuffed it away to not deal with it, and now I am lacking a lot of memory from that time. We seem to be stuck because of this. We are currently in EMS Online and in marriage counseling and I am in personal therapy for my avoidant behavior, but I get frustrated with not having the answers he is looking for and he gets angry. I am hopeful that time and EMS will help recall more info, but I am fearful that it will never be enough. What do you suggest?
