Q&A Do They Have Lingering Feelings for the Affair Partner?

Question:

It's been almost nine months since d day. My husband and I have had some huge growth in the last five weeks. He is the unfaithful and he told me he chose to commit to me and be "all in" in the marriage. However, he seems to be in a shame pit now and very distant. He now tells me he still has feelings for his AP and is afraid of relapse. He is not using any of the tools we have learned for recovery. He said if we just choose each other, we will work out. I believe the opposite. I believe we need to be intentional about recovery. Does he really have feelings for the AP or is he just stuck and confused with himself? Not fair to me!
