Question

Leslie & John,
I filed for divorce but am doubting my decision. I’m positive he never thought I would file but he would have to initiate the divorce.

I focus on key words he’s said since then. He texted “I love you” in one of our text conversations, but a couple of hours later he said “I loved you”, when speaking on the phone because I asked him what he meant by it. He seems remorseful at times but angry with me as if it’s my fault for his actions; however, he’s on vacation with the AP now.

He feels I would never get over the affair because we both bring up the past. I've told him your course helped me tremendously and I am thinking about taking it again. I do think we could move past it.

Is there hope or should I go through the divorce with possible reconnection in the future? I feel like he is with the AP and not giving us a chance so he made the decision. I started the process because he will no longer be helping me financially and I will barely get by. I am second guessing myself because I did it for financial reasons. I did pray to God repeatedly and I felt God gave me the OK; however, I emotionally do not feel that way today or all last night.

What type of affair was it?
