Question:

I have been married for 20 years and 4 months ago I discovered emails that proved my husband has been communicating with his ex-girlfriend from high school for the past 18 years. Are we a greater risk for not having a full recovery (our marriage or individually) because of these factors: He got caught as opposed to him confessing. This makes me feel as if he is only doing EMS Online because he got caught, not because he knows he did something wrong. The affair partner is his ex-girlfriend versus no previous history with someone. The affair started when we were basically newlyweds--only after being married 2 years. We had just had our first child. The affair lasted 18 years versus a shorter affair period with more frequent correspondence.
