Question
Both my wife and I were close to the affair partner and her family. In fact, my family has been close to there's for a long time. Obviously, I got too close. She was separated from her husband, and we ended up spending a lot of time with her and her teenagers who still lived at home. Part of the reason the affair happened, I believe was the closeness, and the "roles" I may have unknowingly been playing. Long story short I feel wretched about hurting them too. Healing with my wife is priority. But my question is: Would it be in any way be helpful or appropriate to write a letter of apology to my affair partner's husband and her children?
