Question
I’m struggling with the idea that when my husband cheated on me, I wasn’t even on his mind. I wasn’t part of his thinking at all, almost like I wasn’t in his world. He didn’t seem to consider how his actions could hurt me, especially knowing I was at home taking care of our kids. It’s especially painful to think that he didn’t even consider my values or safety when he had unprotected sex. How can I see him as a good person who made serious mistakes, instead of as a selfish, egocentric, and emotionally empty person who doesn’t understand love or what it means to care for a partner and family?
