Question:

It’s been 2 years since my initial D-Day and 15 months since I found out the extent of the affair from the affair partner’s partner. We have completed EMS Online, I am in Harboring Hope, and belong to a Rescued group. I also see a counselor in my area that was listed as a trauma counselor in a list sent to me by Affair Recovery but she has outright admitted to me that she is not the type of trauma counselor I need and has recommended that I find someone else. I am at my wits end and feel I have no where else to turn to. My husband and I are still trying to work things out but he is a contractor overseas. I really need to deal with the trauma I’ve experienced and need help finding someone that can help me. I continue to get trickle truth still or the “I don’t remember” answers and I literally cannot take anymore. Do you have any other suggestions for counseling for trauma?

Question,
I've been told that EMDR is not a good fit for me because there is not one single event that is the one I keep going back to. Is this accurate advice or should I seek another counselor?

What type of affair was it?
