Thank you for the reminder that as a BW, I'm responsible for creating a safe environment too. My husband and I have started using the protocol recommended by Penner & Penner that we need to first reflect what the other has said so we can understand fully before we react. Adding this natural brake-tap by saying, "I hear you saying..." before we give our response to what the other has shared helps us take a step back and keep difficult conversations under control.

And thank you for your Youtube videos, Samuel. After finding you online, my husband signed us up for EMSO. We're on week 2, but are convinced that AR is a godsend for us. You continue to help us find the vocabulary to really communicate with each other.
