Question:

We have been married for 20 years and D-Day was in October 2015. When we got married, we had a normal sexual relationship. By 4 years, things had slowed down quite a bit and by the 5th year, we no longer had sex. My husband told me that he had severe headaches when we would have sex and the doctor confirmed that there was nothing that could be done. I sacrificed that part of our relationship, believing that he still loved me. At D-day, he revealed that he actually had a porn addiction and would masturbate multiple times a day to all sorts of media. This went on for 13 years before he located a former girlfriend on Facebook and began a 9 month emotional and physical affair with her. It hurt me greatly that she was worth the headaches it caused and I was not. We have done EMSO, now in MFL, me - HH, and him - still in H4H. My big problem is that I don’t really care if we ever engage sexually again as I have gone nearly 16 years without it. He says he can live with that and wants to be married no matter what. I am 63 and feel inferior to the AP who is 15 years younger and by tens of thousands of airbrushed 20 year-old virtual partners he preferred over a loving, intimate, sexual relationship with me. Is it possible to build a new marriage without physical intimacy? Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication in our behalf!
