Question:

My husband has been in an affair for over two years and out of the house for two years. He now has a 5 month old with the affair partner and lives with her. I have had a hard time keeping boundaries. He desires to call me - sometimes several times a day. During sporting events he will sit and talk to me the entire time instead of our kids. My kids resent him because what he has done and do not have a relationship with him. He recently started talking to me about the child and if I would ever be able to accept him as part of our family if he comes home. He will always talk about coming home and has since the beginning, but always says he is thinking. I have recently put back strict boundaries and told him I will not communicate unless absolutely necessary, basically concerning our kids and finances. Is it time for me to recognize I am in denial and my marriage is over? Is it time to just formally end my marriage?
