Expert Q&A Preview: How Can We Have More Productive Conversations?

Question:

Rick, I feel that I am flooding with my husband a lot and I do try to stop and remember the helpful tools we took away from EMS. I feel that we don’t have any productive communication between the two of us, I want us to talk about things that are helpful not hurtful. During our first EMS Aftercare call, the group leader mentioned that we should say something each day that we are thankful about each other, I like the positive enforcement. But besides me (the betrayed) continuingly to ask him the same questions over and over looking for validation in his answers and making him mad and upset with me how can we stop and have productive conversations. I feel that he doesn’t stop and help me but sometimes he feeds fuel to the fire.
