Question: 

After 8 months of not hearing from my wife's affair partner, he sends a text on Christmas Eve that said; (Merry Christmas ). I sent him a warning email telling him it was over and to never contact my wife again. I'm not sure that was the best thing to do but it made me feel good. How do you suggest we ensure that he doesn’t reach out again?

Thanks for responding to my question. My wife immediately told me of his text and she didn't respond to him. My email to him (and I know him) was clear and concise. It's now 8 weeks later and there has been no additional text or email.
My wife and I are doing well given the circumstances. We are both retired and on a three month vacation in Florida. All seems to be going well as we both work on transparency and honesty.
