I'm 9 months from my last D-Day. My husband had a 6 year affair with a lesbian who has been with the same woman for 20+ years. He interacted with her on out of town work trips and over time was attracted to her "bubbly", friendly personality. He gave her expensive jewelry to impress her and 6 months later she invited him to her room on an overseas trip. That was the start of 6 years of sex. Because of work schedules it wasn't often, maybe 3-4 times a year. He says that he never loved her and they never talked about the affair or anything beyond casual conversation you'd have with a friend. He thinks the AP chose him because she knew he'd be discreet and not mess things up with her rich partner. He didn't think that she was exclusive and didn't care as long as he still got to have sex with her. That floors me. He doesn't remember having sex in 2017 but then last April when he was leaving his job, he invited her to his room for one last time. He isn't sure why other than the sex still felt good. That last time kills me, I told him that he restarted an affair that had ended more than a year earlier. He swears that he never had romantic feelings for her, but if she wasn’t special to him why did he make that one last time happen?
