In the traumatic aftermath of the event, my husband admitted feelings of empathy for the affair partner as she is clearly going through the grief stage after the affair ended. This hurt my heart deeply when he admitted this to me and now I feel very insecure, triggered and panicked that he could relapse. Their emotional affair was approximately 3 months long.
