Question: 

We have 2 young children (4 and 7) with disabilities (severe autism) so to continue caring for them we have decided to live in the same house but on different floors. This is working so far and may be our long term solution. Right now we're not making any long term decisions though, just trying to survive this time then see what happens next. If the kids ask why Daddy lives in the basement now, what should we say? So far they have noticed but haven't asked any questions.
